Almost all countries are locked down. Everybody has to follow it- no
school, no offices, no transportation and people are not even allowed to come out
from homes without most important works.
It is really a very pathetic time for human race. There is only fear, pain, chaos and negativity everywhere. It is a time when people are not only losing their physical health but they become hollow even psychologically . But it is the demand of time to be mentally strong and create positivity in the atmosphere. Good books are always the best source to recharge the low mind; they help to create a positive environment and uplift the soul.
So here, I suggest you some BEST BOOKS to uplift your mood-
1. The Old Man and the Sea– This book is written by Ernest Hemingway in 1951 and published in 1952. It is a classic book that reformulates the definition of struggle and success and appeals that one must have firm-determination, skill and perseverance to win. At the time of its publication, the world had endured two world wars. Life was full of despair, pain, suffering, loss and hopelessness; society was also in deep depression due to deterioration of its social, moral and ethical values. The most famous American writer Hemingway was stalled by the post war writings Across the River and Trees. He did not write anything palpable due to the chaos of World War II (after For Whom the Bell Tolls in 1940). He then created Santiago, the protagonist of the novella, who emerged as the real hero and convinced people that “A man is not made for defeat.” and filled readers with valour, heroism, confidence and fortitude.
This book can charge you once again when you see the strange Old Man as the weakest physically but strongest mentally. He loses the struggle with nature but wins with his firm-determination and courage, “A Man can be destroyed but not defeated.” AND WE WILL TO DEFEAT THIS CORONA TOO.
