Boost Long Term Traffic To Your Website With Blog Hops
Blog Hops
I have been Blogging and writing articles for years.
After a year of blogging, I was wondering why by blogs were not getting much traffic.
I researched books and websites to find out how to get website traffic and I kept seeing something about Blog Hopping.
If you can find Blog Hops, you can add your website/blog/article link to the list of websites in the blog hop.
Once you put your blog address into the blog link, you can peruse the list for other blogs that look interesting.
Click on any of the sites that look interesting and look around. Leave comments and maybe even become a follower.
Others will hopefully find your site interesting and follow you or leave comments.
Blog Hops are between normal writers like you and I.
Blog hops do not cost anything. Sometimes, they may want something more specific, like a link to a recipe or a certain type of article, to enter the blog hop.
This is a great way to create traffic and back links to your site.
I was able to go from a follower base of 0 to a follower base of almost 100 within a few months.
It is a bit of work upfront, but it is definitely worth it in the long run.
The more followers you have, the more clicks you will get and the more money you will make.
Where Do You Find Blog Hops?
To find blog hops, type the date or day, the word “blog hop” and the topic you write about.
For instance, I have a frugal website called ‘The Frugal Review’ and another called ‘Pooping on the Potty’ (It is about potty-training).
If I were to look for blog hops to put my Frugal Review link into, I would type “frugal ‘the date’ blog hop”.
It would bring up a couple different sites that are having blog hops that day.
You can choose which you would like to enter depending on the topics.
Today, I entered a blog hop that needed a link to a recipe.
I found a recipe in my frugal blog and submitted the link into the blog hop.
I also looked at the other submissions and went to their sites to see their recipes. By doing this we add views to our and others blogs.
Some sites have regular weekly blog hops.
I would keep a copy of the sites so that you can go back to them when they are having their blog hop.
I find that a lot of the blog hops disappear after a few months, but you will still have the followers from those blog hops that signed up with you.
